ABOUT

Morgan Iannazzo recently recieved her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in dance performance at Shenandoah Conservatory in May, 2016. Before attending Shenandoah, Morgan received ballet training and mentorship from Lisa Avery, founder of Avery Ballet in Fredericksburg, Virginia.  From a young age, Morgan found her passion to pursue a career exploring the technical and artistic opportunities dance provides to the individual and community.

During her time at Shenandoah, Morgan has worked with special guest artists, Katie Vickers, Albert Quesada, and Mike Esperanza. Through residencies and curriculum of Ting-Yu Chen, Tiffanie Carson, Maurice Fraga, Erica Helm, Shylo Martinez, Lisa Startsman, and Robbie Cook, Morgan has trained in Cunningham, Limon, and Graham based modern, jazz, ballet, tap, partnering, choreography and improvisation.

Morgan takes special interest in European performing arts culture and has most recently travelled to Oslo, Norway in a two week exchange program with Bårdar Dance Academy. Her trip has only fueled her desire to continue her career abroad and explore the European flair.

Orchestrated by Lisa Avery of Avery Ballet, Morgan has performed and choreographed works for Ballet and Beyond for three years. This annual scholarship performance is annually held at Mary Washington University

She is in the process of developing her own voice in the realm of contemporary and modern dance styles as dancer and choreographer. Morgan is grateful to have the support from her parents, Jeffrey and Lori Iannazzo, Lisa Avery, family, friends and faculty.
